About AVT & Autonomy
Established in 1991, AVT Systems have a reputation built on trust providing dealing room & voice-solutions, from turret systems and voice recorders to telephone systems; all supported by flexible and competitive maintenance contracts. This year we signed an agreement with Autonomy to be the only partner predominantly focusing within the financial markets.
Autonomy was founded in 1996 using technology developed at Cambridge University and is now the second largest software company in Europe. Autonomy's software includes Enterprise Search, Electronic Discovery, Voice Analytics, Legal Hold and Information Risk Management.
What does it do?
Autonomy's meaning-based computing has the ability to search and contextually understand all electronically stored information (files, IM, voice and video) within the enterprise thus providing improved results over traditional keyword search methods.
Example: Information Governance
Information Governance automates real-time policy management for legal hold, compliance, and disposition management based on forming a conceptual and contextual understanding of all enterprise information. Autonomy's unique technology represents a major step forward in reducing risk inherent in information by applying based on the meaning of content of an email, document or phone recording instead of relying solely on its metadata.
Requirements for this technology is ever increasing particularly with more regulation coming into place. We can provide a full review with consultancy, education, implementation and technical support; all customised to suit your needs. Those already using this software include Barclays, Citicorp, UBS, HSBC, JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Lloyds TSB, Mitsui, Citibank, Morgan Stanley and BNP Paribas.
Case Study
A global law firm ranked in the UK's top 10 for litigation, with over 400 staff in the UK and 300 throughout Asia; faced challenges in working, managing and collaborating on international cases.
Challenges
- International disputes increasingly include electronic disclosure and potentially millions of pages of documents for review
- International litigation often required collaboration with multiple firms across the globe
- Lack of an in-house litigation support solution and frequent outsourcing required staff to learn and use solutions from other firms and clients
Solution
- Deploy Zantaz Introspect, a scalable and robust electronic disclosure and litigation support system
- Increase efficiencies for clients by training lawyers and internal IT staff to better handle electronic evidence
- Manage all litigation support services for major cases that include other firms, thereby limiting the need to train staff on other systems
Results
- Deployed Zantaz Introspect within 4 weeks
- Managing eDisclosure and litigation support for three international cases with multiple firms
- Currently running 500,000 pages of documents on Zantaz Introspect
- Anticipating 100 percent increase in pages with addition of major £70 million global case on system
- Eliminated need to retrain staff on various systems for different cases
